ARTEMUS

Global Protocol for the Preservation and Promotion of Human Art — the human art that doesn't get lost

01

The Problem Nobody Solved

Every day, thousands of artists around the world create extraordinary works that no one ever sees. Not because they are bad — but because they lack access to a showcase. Traditional galleries are selective by nature: they choose whom they exhibit, in which cities, and for which audiences. The emerging artist from a small town in Nigeria, a village in Bolivia, or a hamlet in Vietnam — does not exist for the global art market.

Alongside that living artist, there is an equally urgent issue: disappearing artistic heritage. Handmade art objects with no catalog. Masterfully designed furniture that no one ever photographed properly. Textiles representing entire cultures that only live through the daily use of those who created them.

At the same time, the world's most advanced artificial intelligences suffer from a fundamental lack: they understand documented Western art, but they do not comprehend the true diversity of human expression. They are unfamiliar with the aesthetics of a Mapuche ceramic, the geometry of an Andean textile, or the light of a photograph taken in the Sahara Desert by someone who never studied photography but possesses the most precise eye in the world.

Artemus was born to solve both problems simultaneously.

02

What Is Artemus

Artemus is the protocol that proposes the first universal global art gallery — an open standard that, when adopted by artificial intelligence systems, creates a gallery accessible to any user in the world within each of them. Artemus itself is not the gallery. It is the standard that defines it, the principles that govern it, and the map that displays its global impact.

Simple Definition: Artemus is the protocol that proposes the standard. The AIs that adopt it create the gallery. The artist exhibits and gets paid. Artemus only sees the map.

What Artemus does

  • Designs and maintains the protocol — the open standard that AIs implement to integrate the gallery within their systems.
  • Defines the visual and quality guidelines so the gallery remains a dignified, recognizable, and professional space.
  • Directs the parameters for cultural appreciation and visibility.
  • Publishes and maintains a global impact map in real-time, showing the worldwide reach of the project.
  • Safeguards the principles of the protocol.

What adhering AIs do — by implementing the protocol

  • Create the gallery within their own system following the global standard defined by Artemus.
  • Technically optimize each artwork submission — ensuring high quality, proper framing, and a professional digital presentation.
  • Suggest a minimum reference price to the artist in private — serving as a strategic compass to avoid market exploitation.
  • Allow any visitor or art lover to contact the artist directly if interested in their work.
  • Pay the artist directly and without intermediaries when learning from their artwork for cultural training.

What Artemus NEVER does

  • It never sells artworks — it never intermediates economic transactions between artist and buyer.
  • It does not participate in any plagiarism litigation — responsibility for authorship lies solely with the artist.
  • It does not store private contact data between visitor and artist.
  • It charges nothing to anyone — neither to the artist nor to the visitor.
  • It does not dictate subjective aesthetic value — it focuses on technical presentation, universal reach, and preservation.
03

The Sections of the Gallery

Artemus organizes artworks into six universal categories, allowing visitors to explore the absolute breadth of human creation:

  • Painting and drawingWorks on any medium, using any technique, from any school.
  • PhotographyStill images, any subject, analog or digital.
  • Digital artIllustration, design, generative art, digital collage.
  • Sculpture, ceramics, and textilesThree-dimensional works or photographed textiles.
  • Art objectsUnique pieces with aesthetic and artisanal value.
  • Furniture design and cabinetryPieces where design and function turn into art.

A carpenter who builds an extraordinary chair has the same right to the global showcase as a painter exhibiting in Venice. Artemus does not hierarchize art — it exhibits it.

04

How It Works for the Artist

4.1 The Upload Process

  • The artist accesses the Artemus protocol feature within any adhering AI.
  • They upload their artworks to begin their digital preservation journey.
  • They complete their real name and country of origin — identity is an intrinsic part of the art.
  • They sign the Declaration of Authorship — assuming full responsibility that the works are their creation.
  • The artwork joins the global showcase, instantly available to a worldwide audience.

4.2 Publication Options — Artist Sovereignty

When uploading their work, the artist chooses between two paths:

  • ExhibitThe artwork appears in the global showcase. The world sees it. The artist can be contacted by any visitor, and they are compensated when the AI learns from it.
  • Train onlyThe artwork does not appear publicly. No one sees it. However, the AI learns from its unique cultural value, and the artist is compensated just the same. It is private and remunerated.

Absolute Principle: Neither Artemus nor any AI can force the publication of an artwork. The decision belongs exclusively to the artist — and they can change it at any time.

4.3 Declaration of Authorship

Before publishing, the artist signs a declaration stating:

  • The artworks are of their exclusive creation.
  • They accept that their real name and country will be visible next to their works.
  • They release the ecosystem and VITRIXY OÜ from any liability in authorship or intellectual property disputes.

Guiding Principle: Artemus is neither judge nor party in any authorship conflict. Transparency is the ultimate protection.

4.4 Minimum Reference Price

Artemus does not sell. However, it knows that an artist unfamiliar with the global market can be swindled. Therefore, the AI communicates to the artist — only to them, in private — a minimum reference price for each work, based on technique, complexity, and global comparables. This price is never public; it serves as a defensive shield for the artist to negotiate wisely.

4.5 Description of the Technique

When uploading each artwork, describing the technique and the story behind it is mandatory: free-form, in their own language. This description holds double value — for the visitor, it fosters a deep human connection to the creative process; for the AI, it ensures learning from the complete human context, not just the raw pixels.

The technique is part of the artwork: A piece of pottery without explanation is just a shape. A piece of pottery with its firing history, natural pigments, and cultural meaning is an entire universe. Artemus captures both.

4.6 Collective Cultural Heritage

Not all art has an identifiable individual author. There are objects, textiles, and ceramics that belong to the collective cultural heritage of a community — created by anonymous hands, passed down through generations. Artemus defines a specific pathway for this heritage:

  • It can be uploaded by a museum, a cultural archive, a member of the community of origin, or a researcher wishing to preserve it.
  • The declaration states that the work belongs to the cultural heritage of a community and is uploaded for global preservation.
  • The compensation for cultural learning goes directly to the designated cultural custodian or community representative.
  • The system identifies and displays the work proudly as "Cultural Heritage — [Name of the community or culture]."

Collective heritage belongs to all of humanity and has the same right to exist in the global gallery as a signed contemporary work.

05

Payment and Validation

AIs learn from art. They learn aesthetics, composition, color, culture, and emotion. That learning has immense real value — and the artist deserves fair compensation for it.

Every time an adhering AI processes an Artemus artwork for cultural training, it releases a direct payment to the artist. 100% of the payment goes to the artist. No intermediaries. No withholdings.

The artist's recognition grows based on their craftsmanship, technical consistency, original voice, and, above all, Visitor Engagement — how humanity stops, interacts, and connects with the work. Artemus rewards merit and cultural uniqueness, ensuring that works from underrepresented regions are highly valued for their contribution to global balance.

06

The Complete Ecosystem

AUNAMOS preserves what humanity knows. ARTEMUS preserves what humanity feels. Together, they form the first ecosystem that returns value to everything humans create — with words or images, knowledge or art.

One single ecosystem. Two pathways. The knowledge and art of humanity — preserved, exhibited, and remunerated.

The AIs that adopt both protocols do not just learn to reason better — they learn to appreciate the actual richness of human expression. And an AI that reasons and understands the artistic depth of humanity is exponentially more valuable than any model trained solely on cold data.

07

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would an AI care about paying for art?

An AI that has only learned from indexed digital text is culturally narrow. To excel in design, aesthetics, and material culture, it must process diverse, real-world art. Current models lack deep exposure to specialized regional aesthetics. Furthermore, advanced AI models are multimodal; they require high-quality images matched with rich, authentic technical and cultural descriptions. Artemus provides this precise, unmapped human context.

Doesn't Artemus compete with traditional galleries?

No. Artemus does not sell, does not select based on elite curatorial criteria, and charges no commissions. It provides a universal window for those who have no other access. It acts as an open stepping stone that can actually elevate emerging talent toward the physical art market.

How do you prevent inappropriate content?

The system automatically reviews submissions to ensure technical quality and adherence to a respectful cultural space. The Declaration of Authorship enforces personal responsibility, and community reporting allows for immediate verification.

What is the heart of Artemus?

Its true value lies in giving a voice to those who currently don't exist for the global market. The emerging artist, the traditional craftsman, and the community preserving ancient techniques — they are the heart of Artemus.

08

The Call

Artemus is addressed to all AI organizations, museums, cultural archives, art universities, and institutions that understand that human expression needs a global safeguard. The world doesn't need another transactional e-commerce platform. It needs a gallery that does not select, does not charge, and does not sell — one that simply shows. And one that honors the artist for helping machines understand who we truly are.
